About me

I am a doctoral researcher and artist working at the intersection of neuroscience, immersive sound, spirituality and critical theory. My work investigates how immersive audio technologies can deepen practices of listening and evoke altered states of consciousness.

Currently, I am pursuing a PhD focused on how spatial sound environments can elicit profound aesthetic experiences, exploring how immersive music can facilitate states of awe, flow, and collective healing within secular, ritualistic settings. My practice weaves together scientific research methodologies with an artistic approach rooted in deep listening, minimalism and contemporary ritual.

I am also the co-founder of Neuromance, an art and research lab dedicated to science communication and the creation of immersive, collective ritualistic experiences designed to measurably enhance well-being.

In parallel, I compose and perform under the name vbee, crafting experimental soundscapes that blend synthesis and field recordings. Across both my academic research and artistic work, I aim to create secular, ritualistic spaces that respond to a deep contemporary need for meaning, presence and communal transcendence, experiences that are crucial for nurturing imagination, creativity, agency and self-esteem.
